PREPARING FOR YOUR CLOSING

What you need to do to prepare for your pool closing appointment to assure the smoothest and most efficient closing possible.

Follow these simple guidelines before we arrive to make for the smoothest closing possible and to assure a clean and clear opening come spring time.

  • Maintain your pool water balance – To make for the best possible pool opening in the spring, you’ll want to be sure to keep your pool as perfectly balanced as possible up to your closing date.  This is the single greatest factor to your pool opening up clean and clear in the spring because, if your pool is green or out of balance at the time closing, it will continue to get worse after closing and will likely be green come opening time.  Although we include a complete and comprehensive winter chemical kit with your closing, the effectiveness of it greatly depends on your overall water balance.

  • Keep your pool clean and free of debris – This goes along with maintaining your water balance and also drastically increases the chances of your pool opening clear in the spring.  Before we arrive for your closing, give your pool a good final vacuuming and leaf scooping and we will take care of the rest.  Don’t let the leaves pile up in your pool when they fall because they will cause your water to get out of balance quickly.  We always give your pool a quick overall cleaning at time of closing while it’s draining as well however, closing time is not the time to expect our teams to completely clean up a pool that simply was not maintained throughout the season.

  • Have winterization accessories ready – Before we arrive for your closing just be sure to have your pool cover, winter plugs, and any other necessary accessories needed for your closing accessible to us.  If you can’t find your winter plugs or skimmer Gizzmos we always have extras with us for you.  A lot of times too your winter plugs and Gizzmos will be broken or worn out and we will replace them with new units if necessary to assure the safety of your pool lines over the winter.

  • Payment – Payment for your pool closing is due at time of closing.  We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards on site making it easy for you to pay and we always leave you with a detailed receipt to keep for your records.
